Boza et Ordalie, 2023
Meriem Bouderbala
In a collaboration with Aist Meriem Bouderbala, oval-shaped
funeral mats were embroidered as pa of the aist’s
installation ‘Boza & Ordalie’ at the October 2023 ‘Hirafen’
Exhibition, gathering Tunisian and International contemporary
aists to collaborate with aisans from Tunisia, curated by
Ludovic Delalande and Nadia Jelasssi.
Through threads, various fabrics and media, Boza et Ordalie
bridges the gap between mythological figures, images of the
aist’s body, figures of migrants from bygone eras or the
present day.
The HIRAFEN exhibition was organized by the Talan Founda-
tion in panership with the Aicha Gorgi Gallery.
