Hannon and the Mediterranean Mirage, 2024

A large format tapestry entitled ‘Hannon and the Mediter-
ranean Mirage’ crafted from embroidered wool, raia, silk,
coon, linen, and vintage life jacket fibers.
The tapestry captures scenes of migration and resilience,
drawing a poignant parallel to the contemporary odyssey of
Tunisian influencer Sabee al Saidi, and reflecting on Tunisia’s
historical aluence and modern challenges within the broader
context of today’s complex societal and political landscapes.
The tapestry was first showed during the Lamia Bousnina
Gallery inaugural exhibition ‘Cahagisme’ .
