‘Manhood, Dancer, Gazelles’, A tryptic of wall taspestries we
embroidered by hand based on the drawings of Louis Bahé-
lémy, showed within the ‘Arab Design Now’ exhibition, curated
by Rana Beiruti during the 2024 edition of the Doha Design
Biennial.
In these series, ‘the Aist’s aim is to capture pastoral beauty
and to explore gender narratives. Against the backdrop of a
lush palm grove, playful gazelles frolic while a muscular figure
and a graceful dancer engage in a timeless dance.’
